I've seen multiple spywares on NPCs now but I thought NPCs do not change IPs. Does spyware have another function on NPCs?

no they don't but players sometimes mistake npcs for players and upload spyware

I noticed the IP in the slave list turns light blue when uploading it, but if that is all, then it is not really worth doing it.
